Hi, I'm Charon

My journey to wellness, holistic health, vibrational healing, metaphysics, sound therapy and more started about 16 years ago after the birth of my first daughter. I was experiencing one of many transformations and life changing shifts began to take place within my life. My father’s health was rapidly deteriorating with prostate cancer, my marriage was ending, and my perspectives were beginning to change. I cut off all my hair, decided to loc it (This was my first set of locs I kept for 7 years) and thus began a new chapter of my life.


I moved back home after graduate school to assist my father with his health. My daughter and I ended up moving in with him to help care for him. While in Cleveland, I began to further study esoteric knowledge. 


My father was a historian and spent his life traveling to and from Egypt, Ghana, Tanzania, and parts of South America. He was well known within his community (My hometown of Cleveland, Ohio)as historian, public speaker, baba, and storyteller. He would do presentations on Ancient Kemet and speak throughout the Black community about our connection to Africa.


I began asking him questions about some of the things I had studied and learned.  Before my father transitioned I remember him telling me he was passing me the torch and that the road to truth and knowledge of self wouldn’t be easy.

I remember thinking to myself I didn’t ask for the torch! However, I now have a deeper overstanding of what he meant and in many ways I’ve accepted the calling.


After his transition I decided to move to the DMV ( DC,Maryland, Virgnia) area to pursue a degree in metaphysics at the Institute of Spiritual Enlightenment, a Ph.D in African Studies at Howard University, and to teach 3rd grade at a new charter school in Prince George’s County Maryland.

However, it was my experience while at the Institute of Spiritual Evolution (The school’s name prior to closing) that heightened my interest in holistic wellness, esoteric studies, energy healing, and more. 

I began to implement the things I’d learned into my daily life and take courses to further my knowledge.

Over the course of about 10 years (while still working as a teacher and educator) I became a certified Reiki practitioner, certified holistic nutritional counselor, (completed with Dr. Llaila Afrika) certified dowser, certified holistic health & nutrition coach, triple certified placenta encapsulation specialists, birth doula, breathologist in training, and certified sound therapist.

In addition to all of this, I managed to give birth to 3 more children (yes that brings me to a grand total of five beautiful children) and have the wonderful experience of birthing all three of them at home. (I also got married sometime throughout all of this!)

All of my experiences, studies, certifications, education etc., have led me to a deeper inner-standing of myself and prepared me for the healing services I offer today. 

I am truly grateful to be a vessel for healing energy to flow through and to share all that I have experienced, learned, and received with others.  I have assisted family, friends, and client’s in restoring harmony within themselves. I’ve also assisted birthing mothers throughout their pregnancy, labor, and during post-partum. 


In addition to the certifications mentioned above, I am also a graduate of Fisk University (Where I obtained a Bachelors  of Arts in Psychology) and Tennessee State University. (Where I obtained an M.Ed in Education, Curriculum & Instruction).

I am a former elementary school teacher & educator.  I now homeschool our children and resigned from my full-time teaching position at a private school in Washington, DC to start my own business.

I am also a published poet, songwriter, and singer. (Music has been a huge part of my life since I was a child)


In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors,(I have an affinity for nature) working out,  singing, writing, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.
